Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how ohtimmi LLC (“ohtimmi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on ohtimmi.com (the “Site”), and why you are not asked to accept a cookie banner. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and software development kits. They are commonly used to keep you signed in, to remember preferences, and to track people across websites for advertising.

2. Cookies We Set

The Site sets no cookies on the devices of ordinary visitors. We use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no tag manager, no social media pixels, and no third-party trackers of any kind. No script on the Site is loaded from a third-party domain.

One cookie exists on this domain, and it applies only to the site owner. Signing in to the private analytics dashboard at /analytics sets a session cookie so the dashboard knows the session is authenticated. It is strictly necessary for that function, is signed and marked HTTP only so scripts cannot read it, expires within twelve hours, and is never set for visitors who do not sign in.

3. Browser Storage We Use

The Site writes a single value to your browser session storage: a flag recording that the animated wordmark has already played, so that it does not replay as you move between pages. That value contains no identifier, is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and your browser discards it when you close the tab.

4. How We Measure Traffic Without Cookies

We operate our own first party measurement rather than using a third party analytics service. When you view a page, our server records the page path, the referring website, a coarse device category, the country your network resolves to, and events such as scroll depth and which links or tiles were clicked.

To group activity within a single day without identifying you, we compute a one way hash of your IP address, your browser user agent string, the current date, and a secret value we hold. Your IP address is never stored. The hash cannot be reversed, and because the date forms part of the input, the resulting identifier changes every day, so the same visitor cannot be recognized from one day to the next. Nothing is written to your device to make this work, which is why no consent is requested.

5. Why There Is No Consent Banner

Consent requirements for cookies, including those under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, apply to storing information on, or accessing information already stored on, a user’s device. The Site does neither for ordinary visitors, apart from the strictly necessary session storage flag described in Section 3, which is exempt as strictly necessary to deliver a service you requested. There is therefore nothing for you to consent to and nothing for you to refuse.

6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not track you across other websites, we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. A Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser therefore requires no change in our behavior, and we honor it by default.

7. Controlling Cookies and Storage

You can control this technology yourself at any time:

  • browser settings let you block or delete cookies and clear site data for any website, including this one;
  • clearing site data for ohtimmi.com removes the wordmark session flag, with no effect other than the animation playing once more; and
  • blocking JavaScript prevents our measurement events from being sent, and the Site remains readable.

8. Third-Party Sites

Pages on the Site link to third-party websites, including retailers and affiliate destinations. Once you follow such a link, that site may set its own cookies and use its own tracking technologies under its own policies, which we do not control. Review the privacy and cookie policies of any site you visit.

9. Changes to This Policy

If a future feature requires cookies or other device storage for visitors, we will update this page before that feature ships, state plainly what is stored and why, and present a genuine choice with a real reject option where consent is required. We will post the updated policy with a new “Last updated” date.
